# Registered Agent Documents

> Access formation documents and important filings.

Where's your Articles of Organization? What about your EIN letter? The Certificate of Good Standing your bank asked for? These documents tend to scatter across email inboxes, filing cabinets, and "I thought I saved that somewhere."

Everything that comes through your registered agent — plus formation documents, compliance filings, and anything you upload — lives in one place.

## Document types

| Document                               | What it is                                   |
| -------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------- |
| Articles of Organization/Incorporation | Your formation document filed with the state |
| Certificate of Formation               | State's acknowledgment of your business      |
| EIN confirmation (CP 575)              | IRS letter confirming your tax ID            |
| Annual report notices                  | State reminders for yearly filings           |
| Tax correspondence                     | State and federal tax notices                |
| Service of process                     | Legal documents served on your business      |

## Accessing documents

1. Go to **Company → Documents**
2. Browse by category or search
3. Click to view or download

### Categories

* **Formation** — Articles, certificates, EIN
* **Compliance** — Annual reports, registrations
* **Tax** — IRS and state tax documents
* **Legal** — Service of process, contracts
* **Mail** — All received mail

## Formation documents

After your company is formed, these documents appear:

| Document                     | When available                   |
| ---------------------------- | -------------------------------- |
| Filed Articles               | 1-5 days after approval          |
| Certificate of Good Standing | On request                       |
| EIN letter                   | Same day (if applied through us) |
| Operating Agreement (LLC)    | Template provided at formation   |
| Bylaws (Corp)                | Template provided at formation   |

### Certified copies

Need a certified copy of your formation documents?

1. Go to **Company → Documents → Formation**
2. Click **Request Certified Copy**
3. We order from the state and upload when received

Processing time varies by state (1-10 business days). Additional state fees apply.

## Compliance documents

Annual reports and other compliance filings are tracked:

| Document            | Status shown              |
| ------------------- | ------------------------- |
| Annual report       | Filed, pending, due       |
| BOI report          | Filed, pending, due       |
| Business licenses   | Active, expiring, expired |
| State registrations | Current, needs renewal    |

Click any compliance item to see the filed document or take action on pending items.

## Document storage

All documents are:

* Stored securely with encryption
* Retained for 7+ years
* Available for download anytime
* Backed up redundantly

## Uploading documents

Add your own documents:

1. Go to **Company → Documents**
2. Click **Upload**
3. Select file(s)
4. Choose category
5. Add description (optional)

Useful for storing:

* Contracts and agreements
* Insurance certificates
* Lease documents
* Bank statements

## Sharing documents

Share documents with your accountant or attorney:

1. Open the document
2. Click **Share**
3. Enter email address
4. Set expiration (optional)
5. Send

Recipients receive a secure link to view or download.

## Document requests

If you're working with a bookkeeper or accountant through Pluvel's Firm Mode, they can request documents:

* You'll receive a notification
* Upload directly from the request
* They're notified when you upload
